  • That's how root certs work, m*scovians will abuse it.

  • why?

  • Do you measure better only by healthcare? A progress was made in almost every facet of life. Even in places where access to modern healthcare is limited or nonexistent.

  • not really, what happenned is a standard m*scovian modus operandi - 'we need to be seen doing something, let's find someone to be a scapegoat'. regretfully they don't fear the sky yet.

  • Feel free.

  • And yet even those parts of humanity live better than 100 years ago.

  • forced yeah

  • You can blame r*ssians for being evil, nothing wrong with it.

  • Not that much, and absolute majority of it really can't be used for intelligence work, fpv cameras are trash, as in you can't see anything fron afar and when you aren't far you can hear them very well. (yes digital cameras exist, but they aren't all that great and can't be compared to dji) Also almost everything showed is a hobbyist grade things, either too old, or almost useless for any real work.

it would be extremely funny if they got the openipc guy that supported m*scovia and is responsible for the closed source part of it (majestic).

  • Finally, guys in ssb deserved this from the start. It was a travesty that guys that must be part of the assault units that volounteered to fight, with expected losses (as in a lot of them died) didn't get the same 'benefits' as regular soldiers.

  • yes

  • You don't get it, do you? iran is the source of r*ssian terror attacks by shahed drones. They've made them and sold to m*scovia the whole production process. They were a real problem at the start, people literally feared the sound of scooters for the first year or so. Because there were no effective answer to them. So yes, iran fucked off and good for them, all hate to iran and their backwards cuntry.

  • I understand that they are an enemy, everything else is pretty words, iran backed down when their ships that supplied r*ssia were hit. Good for them.

  • Actually, yes they are due to them being far more ready, second distance matters a lot, third iran supports r*ssia with weapons and resources.

  • iran can't do shit, at worst they can fire a few missiles with questionable efficiency. What are they going to do, start supplying r*ssia?

  • I've really disliked gentoo because there always were so much unknowns and moving parts which no umount of reading and 'intuition' can predict. Gave up when package manager killed itself during update with no (obvious) way to make it run again fast. It was combination of python version upgrade and pm upgrade and it shit itself in a spectacular way where you can't run it with 'current' version of python, can't use older version due to it being managed by python scripts somehow dependent on pm (details aren't all there it was like ten years ago). All of that when I really needed to install and run some package. Built everything from source and disliked gentoo ever since.

  • At first you were concerned about backup access, there are multiple facrors of backup access.

Regarding other issues, you either use disk encryption (and a lot of other things as well) and accept these concerns as part of the deal or you dont use it. That's why actual security involves threat modeling and mitigation. Encryption by itself gives little more then headache.

  • Not much has changed (also Arch always had an installer one way or another 🙃). I've managed to keep it going till the machine wasn't needed. Rescue boot was needed like 5-6 times over 15 years, I think. Most problems with Arch come from being hasty or not being able to read. One of the harder and more involved processes and problems to solve was updating 6 years old abandoned install, took a few hours, because arch archive is pretty slow sometimes.

  • Because they deserve to be censored.
