  • Other comments seem to be confusing ensure for baby formula. The remainder of those comments are as misinformed, disregard them.

    Ensure is a nutrition supplement or replacement for adults. It is a pharmaceutical product intended for use by people who have difficulty taking in enough food. Examples would be cancer patients and those with feeding tubes.

    Breast milk is a substance produced by humans for infants and young children. It is composed to provide all needs for a baby and then to supplement during weaning. Notably, it will be much higher in fat. It also contains only those proteins which are digestible to an immature human gut.

    Do you have an underlying question?

    If you are considering replacing one with the other, no, it is not advisable. It will lead to complications possibly death, sooner or later.

    It seemed genuinely disconcerting to these people that youth were engaging in the political process by the officially sanctioned methods. After decades complaining about "apathetic youth".

    But that can't be used as a post hoc rationalization for the initiative it was trying to stop. Also, it didn't work did it. So the efficacy of this "manipulation" ability is rather questionable.

  • I understand your question and I do not think "all of lemmy" is a serious answer to it. lemmy is comprehensively dorky but not weird on the whole. memes about donald trump and linux don't quite have that quirked out charm.

    where is the SCA of lemmy? I'm not sure but maybe you'd find something to your liking on the Local tab of one of these instances: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/ https://lemmy.sdf.org/ https://beehaw.org/. Make accounts, browse "Local" and block those big comms like meme, news, technology.

    If you don't find your niches there, check out the rest of the fediverse. Lemmy is just a small piece. You might have better luck with a larger pool of people like mastodon, or a narrower one, like misskey. In all cases, be the kind of weird you want to see in the world, and you will attract like-minded people. Mind community guidelines. In general, try anywhere artists congregate.

    The very best place to meet weird people is out in the world. Talk to people at the bus stop and eventually someone will talk back.

  • I keep my bank transactions to a bare minimum. They charge me to hold my money so they can invest it and make themselves interest, and they charge me to remove my money. Only rich people get those fees waived. And I am way less likely to go below my balance an incur other surprise fees. Credit card is the only way. Or cash, but that requires making large withdrawals once or twice a month and carrying it around.

    Must be noted that credit card purchases not actually free, just the cost is borne by the merchant and returned in an averaged-out, invisible way.

  • I agree with your top comment. There is a lot of very verifiable information in there. drop site news has done some actual journalism based on these document dumps. This one is just too attractive to low effort social media content producers. Too salacious.

    I haven't been digging through these documents. Could be others which are related. This is the one that's being circulated in my bubble. It isn't clear if this person is claiming she was also present for the infanticide but at the very least she is is saying she gave birth then the baby was no more so (if the story is real) something bad must have happened because a private citizen cannot just remove a child from its parent's care.

Anybody who tried to expel members of different faiths suffered an immediate loss of income and soon saw the err of their ways.
