  • In die Studie muss ich mal reinschauen, danke!

    Mein letzter Stand war: ja, kannste machen, aber um das Haus zu heizen brauchst Du dann eine hohe Vorlauftemperatur (eben wie bei alten Systemen). Das bringt die Pumpe aber in einen sehr ungünstigen Lastbereich, was a) unverhältnismäßig mehr Strom verbraucht und b) die Pumpe drastisch stärker altern lässt und so kritische Komponenten sehr viel früher getauscht werden müssten

  • Ähnlicher Case hier, macht mich aktuell kirre.

    Alles, was man derzeit so in der Umgebung findet, läuft auf Öl. Die muss so oder so mittelfristig raus - aber für Pellets oder Wärmepumpe musst Du dann neue Heizkörper für geringe Vorlauftemperatur installieren... Die ergeben aber wenig Sinn, wenn das Haus schlecht isoliert ist, also rechne nochmal eine komplette Dämmung ein.

    Wärmepumpe ohne PV ist auch nur bedingt gut, also rechne noch PV und Speicher drauf, aber das Dach ist schon uralt und kann ohne Modifikation u.U. keine PV tragen, also rechne noch ... usw usf

    Und so kommt man Mal eben nochmal auf fast den Kaufpreis gefühlt

  • Ohne OPs Fall zu kennen: ich nehme an, es ging nicht um die Amortisierung der Wärmepumpe, sondern den Rattenschwanz an Modernisierungen, die dann nötig sind. I.e. es wäre einfach insgesamt dann zu teuer für OP gewesen.

  • I imagine this looking really adorable. Talking to someone who then suddenly covers their eyes and sneezes.

    I often sneeze two times but when someone's bless you comes between them, my second sneeze is cancelled most of the times. So most people who know me will wait in anticipation wether I sneeze a second time.

    Not suppress it, but force it out. Kinda when you feel it coming but it's "stuck"

    For suppressing it, I'll press my tongue hard against the roof of my mouth. Works most of the time

  • I really love their look and selection of colors but I am always puzzled about people praising the quality of the paper. I tried one of their calendars last year and the paper is so thin that every single pen (gel, ballpoint, fountain, pencil) either completely bled through or was like 60% readable from the back - meaning that it looked really really messy and almost unreadable when the page was full on both sides...

    Did I get some kind of faulty one, did I do something wrong?

    But yeah, you're right. Goes without saying that one should try to evict as many leaf-tenants as possible beforehand.

    Would be nice if there was some timeframe where this is safe for most wildlife

  • Also, when you want to remove them (partially or in spring), just mow them and leave the mulch. Easiest cleanup, good for the plants and wildlife

  • ... You ever tried clearing a yard or whole garden overgrown by wild blackberries for years?

    God, they're delicious, but they are EVERYWHERE, regrow as soon as you turn around, and you either are very slow and careful or get hurt a lot. Nasty little suckers, those thorns.

    I'd guess OP has the same trauma as me
