  • Yeah, i get the gist of it.

    Its just that I don't really see a problem with Blender creating an API.

    There are 2 options:

    1. AI will become awesome and take over the world. In this case I don't see how Blender would survive regardless of MCP integration status.
    2. AI will always be shite, Blender devs has implemented a useless API and got a lot of cash to keep developing Blender.

    I don't see how this is bad, honestly.

    Anthropic has no control over the project.

    They sponsored a feature that is still open to anyone to use or not use.

    The project is intact for all I can tell?

    I believe projects are not all the same. Some projects might be quick to bend the knee, but others would never.

    Depends how the Blender team works I guess :)

    It is FOSS, so if it takes a turn to the worse I am sure they will be forked quickly 😄

    A lot of open source projects take money from companies to develop their stuff.

    It's not like Blender is forced to integrate AI now.

    I think this is a net good.

  • You need food regardless if you bike or drive. Maybe just a little more if you are in good trim and bike a lot. Still cheaper than gas for a car though.

    For those who don't know the band, they are really good and have a huge width of music. Every album has a unique genre. All from jazzy and acoustic stuff with flutes to microtonal scales and metal.

    There's a great website where you can get some guideance to get started and find your own albums you like.

    They have something like 28 proper albums and have sometimes released more than 4 albums in a year (don't remember the exact number).

  • I used this for a couple of years. Worked great.

    It kind of depends on what fuse your outlets are on and how your place is wired.

    It is a gamble, but when it works, it works great!
