Working class employee of the Sashatown Central News Agency, the official news service of the DPRS Ministry of State Security. Your #1 trusted source for patriotic facts.

  • Feddit.org deleted post for providing evidence of misinformation

  • It's cool when someone is so pathologically attached to power that they can't be trusted with the smallest thing. Emopunker might be the most pathetic freak I've seen on the fediverse. If "trouble" is being able to pretend they no longer exist, I'll happily take my ban from their hermit kingdom.

  • I like that in the original painting he's the one freak in the audience who doesn't want to fund public schools.

  • Not for long. Hexbear's control over their mod accounts is paying off BIG.

  • That's the thing though. They absolutely will. I used one of my Lemmy.world accounts to pre-emptively defederate from Hexbear in this same kind of scenario. I said I'm too authoritarian and linked sources to prove it.

If I had a time machine, I would go back to a moment when Jay-Z wasn't busy at lunch and ask him for business advice

  • Keep an eye out for anticommunist posts on there. Let's just say they never thought communists could use "tankie" subversively.

  • Even living so close to the ranches and dryland wheat farms that they poison my water, I can't afford beef and bread has increased in price by like 40% over the past few years. Cow demons going bankrupt will increase my food security because I can buy their land to homestead on and use their water rights for humans.

  • I don't think I can vote, but please consider delaying the vote until Q3. Hexbear has been working hard to take over a lot of their admin/mod accounts. We're very close to total domination at which point we can do Phase 2. Things are going to change hard and fast at Lemmy.world. We're doing full Xi Jinping.

  • Hey gamers, I know where to find free top-tier RAM and GPUs. And you get to pretend you're in a spy game.

  • It'd be neat if this could double as fall protection like those backpacks for kids. My great-grandmother died at 101 because a fall broke her hip and she didn't have the wound healing ability to keep it from becoming infected. If that belt had an airbag it would really add a lot of quality of life to that population.

  • To me that's a case of "Tragic: the worst person you know made a good point+that point hurt them". Right-wing "antizionism" is bad because it's rooted in antisemitism instead of antifascism, but Israeli funding is concentrated in the right wing of both parties. Heightening the contradictions benefits my goals more than maintaining continuity since it's fewer votes for Israel's interests that would otherwise be guaranteed. His assassination proved to be a rupture point for the right-wing grifter ecosystem that was previously uniformly supporting zionist politicians. If Israel killed him, it's a big miscalculation that ended up limiting the cultural reach of the US right and its support for Israel.

  • Yes but you get Kitsap Bangor and galleys with a panini bar. Non-dolphins get slop on a ship.

  • I love that it's actually a conspiracy. Hell yeah whoever did it, hell yeah for whatever reason.

  • I see it like submariners getting the best food and pay in a navy. The moment you pay attention to your environment or consider the hope of rescue, you're the most vulnerable human alive. You're in a bathtub at the top of a burning skyscraper and all the forces of nature want to kill you instantly if a single component fails. If I couldn't distract myself with jokes, it'd be like emergency medicine or leftist politics where the reality is horrifying beyond comprehension. I'd last like a week in space before I'm kissing soil for being safe.

  • Agrovoltaics would be such a nice technology for countering a lot of the problems facing Colorado. We don't have enough rain to support most agriculture, but we also don't have enough snowmelt to fulfill the river contracts they're entitled to for artificial irrigation. Our fossil fuel plants face a problem where the Rockies trap and recirculate air, compounding pollution effects. We get like 25-50% more UV radiation than sea-level and we're in the historic dustbowl from soil erosion. The corn and cattle they dedicate land to are a market consumers can no longer afford, only existing to poison and degrade the landscape.

  • Put me on the jury and I don't think it's a crime. What I'm wary of is making a spectacle out of perceived adventurism and it making us think there's a revolutionary moment that isn't actually there. Agitating around Luigi and by extension the one arsonist we can name is its own thing. Those are real events with real public support behind them. If we start indulging patterns that don't actually exist we misread the situation and end up looking silly.

From 2020 to 2024, there were an estimated 1,544 warehouse fires [in the US]

That's an average of 386 per year/1.02 per day well before the recent fire that had a direct connection to Luigi-thought. Since then I don't think I've seen any others where there's a suspect with a message. The background incidence rate is too high already in a country that has only gotten worse economically since 2024. I'd expect it to increase from insurance fraud and undermaintained/vacant buildings. I'm staying agnostic on it being a new trend until more of these are connected to some kind of statement.

  • I'm really curious to see what happens with the Slate truck. The price keeps ballooning to the point that I don't think consumers will be able to afford it over an econobox, but an electrified 1990s Ford Ranger is exactly what would give me the most utility from a vehicle. It goes further and hauls more than my cargo bike without any extra shit that will break, while having more safety features than a kei truck that can't drive well on the roads I would need it to.

Outside of a BYD at half the price, it's the only vehicle I could see myself buying. Either I get a really nice car at a nice ebike price or a purely practical car at an econobox price. Otherwise it makes infinitely more sense to wait for solid-state batteries to proliferate outside of Chinese models so I don't have to deal with any of the drawbacks to EVs.
