This community is supportive of DIY HRT. Many here go that route and can give you good information from personal experience.
I want to point you to this post on the DIY HRT blahaj community. It has a bunch of resources that I often see cited by those who know more about DIY than me.
There are many places to get trans care and we do not exclude or gatekeep. DIY is fine, going through a doctor is also fine. 4Tran is toxic, we try not to be. Welcome!
I am not an expert, I do not feel comfortable giving feedback on your levels. There are others here who are more knolasgable, and I'm sure they'll be here in time.
Estradiol pills are processed in the liver. If you take them sublingually they're mostly not. You absorb more and it has a shorter half life, so may need to be dosed differently. Injections avoid the liver too.
The main concern I have heard about oral progesterone is that its much less effective that way. I don't think liver health is a major concern for oral progesterone. I'm getting HRT through my doctor, and I picked them very carefully to make sure I had one who was knowledgeable, and they've prescribed me oral progesterone. So it's probably fine.
If there are liver concerns I would like to know about it too!
As far as I'm aware, the change that would have banned the entire instance was pushed in an update to tesseract, that had not yet been installed to blahaj. Ada mentioned she was waiting for a response from the developer before taking any action. From what I've heard she was aware at the same time and she's in regular contact with other instance admins.
The delay was in response not knowledge as far as I can tell.
Due to pastebin's auto filters it refuses to post. The file does ban many with strong opinions, and transgender people, it also bans vile trash, some of which has URLs of which cannot be posted to a public pastebin. Sorry.
It has 3755 lines. I downloaded a copy this morning. The secret ban list is downloaded by tesseract at runtime so the dev can malwareban anyone at anytime. That's also where we get the copy.
The american democratic party blamed russia for their loss in 2016, and then tried to do a neuveau red scare instead of learning anything about appealing to voters during an election.
It broke a lot of people's brains now american political weirdos go rabbid whenever they hear anyone mention russia. Sorry you had to deal with that.
This is beyond the pale. I would not trust this developer with anything going forward. Thankfully this does seem to be the only notable project on his github.
This is an interface. This is the human readable layer that exists to show the state of the underlying instance software you're interacting with. Lemmy or piefed instances are the ones that are supposed to do the filtering. An interface adding this kind of blacklist filtering is underhanded and deceptive; sneaking in something malicious through a backdoor.
I am here on blahaj because I agree to let Ada and the rest of the blahaj team implement and manage domain filtering in an appropriate way. I trust their judgement and consent to have my experience shaped by their choices. I have no such trust, nor do I consent to have some random UI designer do the same without even disclosing that they're doing it.
Remove this forever, and blacklist any software that asimons04 has or will ever work on.
I'm only aware of this blacklist because of the recent change, but it has existed since 2024. We should remove this and any other interface that implements similar filtering, regardless of what those filters are designed to remove.
I stopped shooting my DSLR because I would get overwhelmed by the number of bad to mediocre pictures I have to sort through. I can take thousands of pictures, and one or two is worth keeping if that. Feels demoralizing.
But on film, most bad or mediocre shots are ones I never take, because I realize it's not worth the film. On a roll of 36 exposures, I get at least 4-6 good shots I like and want to keep, which is a way better "hitrate" than digital.
I like the idea of treating SD cards like film. I've done the same, except I haven't managed to fill my first 64GB card.
I'm only wearing occasional linen because I don't have many. Linen is great, its also expensive.
