  • A hawk hunts to survive. A pet hunts for fun. That's the difference.

  • Personally, I think all the anti-Threads stuff is paranoid rhetoric

    From Wikipedia:

Paranoia is an instinct or thought process that is believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety, suspicion, or fear.

You might be correct. People don't trust in Meta and have concerns about potential consequences. According to this definition, paranoia isn't necessarily negative. Meta has made several questionable decisions in the past, such as its involvement in the genocide in Myanmar.

  • Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary by Linus Torvalds and David Diamond.

  • I see you point, thanks. Yeah, it's good that we have different options for different people.

  • Turns out when you trap people in a hellhole, they start to resent the people who put them there, and laud the people who seem to be trying to change that shitty status quo.

Given that Hamas is one of the key reasons why this place is a hellhole, these words don't explain why the support for Hamas is allegedly raising.

  • We don't want you on Mastodon. I don't mean to offend you, but Mastodon is the way it is. The lack of "smart" feed is a feature. It might be not for you.

  • Brb, got to buy an iPhone.

  • If it was just for game OSTs and other less common music. Over time I noticed that my playlists on streaming services start losing songs, mainstream music. Sometimes this is because an artist leaves one label for another, but sometimes I have no explanation. And I don't even notice that until "hey, I haven't heard that song in years... wait, where is it? where are these albums??" It's frustrating. This pushed me to pirate music again.

  • I've been using Nvidia and Linux for 13 years. I'll repeat:

I literally cannot remember the last time I had a driver issue with Linux but go off

  • Half gear is the only one that reminds me of KDE when I'm looking at it. Some other options look good, but they are not related to KDE.

  • I’m In the need of an offline calendar and gallery now that simplemobiletools got sold off

This doesn't sound reasonable. Why can't you keep using existing apps? Are they underdeveloped and you're waiting for some features? If so, it'd be helpful to see what these features are in order to suggest a suitable replacement.

  • Who is paying you to say that you "went" to Australia?

  • did the west miscalculate the situation by allowing diplomacy to take a backseat and allowing Ukraine to a large plethora of military resources?

a large plethora of military resources

No. The West failed to provide Ukraine with sufficient military resources. While the monetary value of military aid may seem substantial when compared to your bank account, the reality is that Russia possesses greater resources and capabilities.

  • You don’t have the right to say

And who are you to say what rights I have? Stay on the topic or stay quiet.

  • The biggest mystery to me is why people with knowledge barely above zero are talking on the internet like they're experts.

  • It doesn't matter. We're not comparing two mechanics. Cyberpunk is not a narrow shooter like Quake 3 or something like that. Both are tremendously ambitious games and both should be judged as a whole. Awards, recognition and cultural legacy of TW3 speak for themselves.

  • When a poll shows that Russians support the war, people are saying that Russians are bad. But when a poll shows that Russians don't support the war, people are questioning the poll.
