    • A mainstream liberal social media diet, with no prior history of endorsing illegal direct action

    • He appeared to support stricter gun control and viewed widespread gun ownership negatively

    • He had taken up shooting at some point in the recent past

    • He believed the President was a pedophile who protected other pedophiles

    • He saw Ukraine's resistance to Russia as part of a broader global struggle for democracy

    • He viewed Trump and MAGA as an existential threat to democratic governance

    • He concluded that legitimate political action could no longer save democracy>

    This doesn't fit the profile of someone who radicalized gradually by falling down an increasingly extreme online rabbit hole until reaching a fringe community that encouraged violence -- nothing like an 8chan pipeline at all.
