  • Some humanes definitely are. But many are suffering already. With the impending environmental catastrophe, I'd argue humanity as a whole will suffer from the unhealthy relationship between the fossil fuel lobby and politicians.

  • Here is an absolutely crazy idea: Why don't we save the corals by stopping pollution and fossil fuel usage?

How we got into this mess

  • Very good job and very nice that it made news in the guardian.

  • 1.5°C is a symbolic boundary. It was agreed to not be broken in the Paris agreement in 2016. Not even ten years later, it is broken for the eigth consecutive month and in the yearly average. It will be broken permanently in 5-10 years. It is a symbolic boundary because it is an arbitrary number and every tenth of a degree matters. We still need to support climat action even if it is broken. But it is also a symbol of political incompetency and fossil fuel malice.

Posting and liking memes is great, but real change comes from actions. If you are as concerned as we are about climate change, please consider joining or supporting climate activists near you. Here are some good starting points for anyone interested:

What do you mean it happened again?

  • Yes!

I always recommend checking out the following organizations, which are active in many nations:

https://a22network.org/ the a22 network is a overarching network of many national climate movements using civil disobedience.

https://fridaysforfuture.org/ Fridays for future was created after Greta Thunbergs peaceful protests and now has many national networks using mostly peaceful demonstrations.

https://scientistrebellion.org/ scientist rebellion is a worldwide network of scientists using civil disobedience. Again there are many national groups within.

  • It's just a vital oceanic ecosystem we are destroying, wwhat could possibly go wrong here?

    Totally fine

  • How does it crash sync?

  • The last panel could have a lot of different captions. For example "but i am corrupt"

  • Environmental rights are already incorporated in the constitutions of many countries. Why are they not respected?

  • If you can't find local advertisements, you can look through social media. Some big ones are fridays for future and the a22 network. For some of them, you can also help remotely. You could also look for some kind of green party or ask some of the larger players whether they know anyone.

If you are involved in science, also take a look at scientist rebellion.

  • I'm doing my best. Unfortunately however, I do believe we are in a position where this is not sufficient anymore so I'm also joining activists in the street and invite everyone to at least think about doing the same.
