  • I have several US V2 plugs from athom.tech and they work great via home assistant. They just sit on WiFi don't call home and are reliable through hoke assistant

  • I just moved to the east coast 2 years ago and have only heard New Jersey left on videos but the Wikipedia entry says 'Jughandle Turn'. When a left turn isn't on the left side of the current road and is on a separate slip road for all turns. Seen 1 or 2 in NC but mostly NC has a lot of UTurn only left turns which I hadn't interacted with much out West so get confused to turn or Uturn or where exactly to go.

  • This looks pretty cool. As someone who moved to a new state it's difficult knowing exactly where an exit or turn may be or if there's a NJ left in there somewhere before or after the destination. This should also help out gig drivers who may be constantly going to new locations.

  • I've been using Heliboard with the swipe typing library for about a year and it's been really good. only issue I have is for some reason the keyboard stops correcting until a restart, I'll type a word with 2 letters wrong, the suggestion will be on the bar and it won't replace it.

  • Bitwarden was the second thing I ever self hosted. On a local server on a UPS and hasn't really been an issue across 7 years. Every so often I save an encrypted JSON on my main laptop to use with keepass if there's ever an issue where the server is down for a while.

  • I have speech to text with whisper working on my phone. HA is set to the default assistant on my phone so I can control lights, timers and scenes from 1 action on my phone or watch. Works well once I set friendly names for each light, room, device and scene.
