  • Same! After mine broke I bounced between Samsung and Garmin before landing in a feñix 6 pro sapphire. Battery life is amazing. Watch faces are configurable and Garmin has an application that allows you to build your own faces if you have the time/inclination. And it's damn near indestructible. Going on 3 years daily wear and it still looks like it could be new. Check out the black Friday deals.

  • I can't add anything concerning stringing that the other comment didn't already cover, so I'll ask about the gaps.

Have you tried upping the flow rate to fill them in? The other option I've used in the past was lowering my Z Offset if the flow was alright.

Keep in mind that changing your flow rate will likely also cause you have to mess with your retraction settings again.

  • I don't have an offering for the XDA profile that you're looking for, but a potential alternative. Consider the KAM profile as well.

I used the XDA canvas set on a number of boards for about 5 years and recently switched to the KAM Superuser set on my

. The dishes on the top of the keys are very slightly smaller but the height and general profile are very, very similar.

Thekeeblog has a nifty comparison chart that puts XDA and KAM side by side.

  • It doesn't meet your 'no assembly's criteria, but I think the BFO from keeb.io ticks most of the other checkboxes.

    BFO

  • Seconded! I'm right handed but still browse primarily with my left hand.

  • Kind of? If that makes sense. It's less a feeling of accomplishment and more relief cause it isn't hanging over my head anymore.

  • ADHD @lemmy.world

Did something today I had been putting off for 6 months

  • Can't beat a model M. First time used one was at work. GE used to deploy a variant of the Model M with their Cariolab and Maclab workstations. Had its own custom key cap set specifically for their application functions. So satisfying to type on.

  • Tactile > Clicky, sorry. Lubed and filmed Boba U4 all day.

  • I second biking. Cycling is great way to exercise and see the world around you.

  • I hover hand. Tried rests with the Ergodox a while back and it just felt constraining more than supportive.

  • I may need to rethread the right side. Not surprised by the flex though, was kind of planning on it with the rotation and tilt.

I tried the original dactyl manuform and then found this one (Carbonfette). It's a huge improvement for me. Splay on my hand is narrower and more comfortable.

  • ErgoMechKeyboards @lemmy.world

3D printers are down. Needed more tenting out of my Dactyl. Solution: Plastic M3 standoff kit.

  • I'd be interested in seeing the updated model. I did notice that my model was pretty sensitive so I just dialed down the sensitivity in my mouse settings.

  • I actually started another project and then hit a dead end.

is what I was working on. 7 button (counting the encoder click), pool ball, 3 btu bearings. Was built on an eliteC and a sensor rather than a ploopy PCB to try and reduce overall height and footprint. I just couldn't sort out programming it so it got shelved.

  • That's my design! Super cool to see that someone made it!
