  • Apps using Flag_Secure and Secure_display can block screencapture. While user apps stay below MDM apps in privilege. The MDN app themselves reside below the android system.

    We have Signal, OMEMO in XMPP which already do that. You don't need to do any encryption in your head..

    If it can be read and shared without your explicit consent and approval with anyone even your employer. It's no better than regular TLS encryption.

    The 8 Elite gen 5 can use 20W at peak power. Last year's 8 Elite peak was 16-17W. 8 gen 3 was limited to 11W.

    Tell me, how do you expect to get more battery life while using more power and doing more tasks at once? If you limited performance you can easily get away with more battery. But, manufacturers don't and want to push further and further. Multi day battery is possible. But, you need to limit certain things to get that. Can't game or do processor intensive tasks all day and expect multi day battery. Fortunately, the large battery cell and fast charging should make it a non-issue for most people.

  • While It says 6 years of updates. Its just 4OS updates and 6 Years of security updates. After motorola it seems everyone is skirting around the EU regulations one way or other.

    The OnePlus 15 is said to receive six years of security updates and four major Android updates. According to the EPREL database, we can expect at least 5 years of updates. This is still too short to conform to EU regulations, so it will be interesting to see how strictly this is handled by the EU.
