  • But, they already do. Smart watches and smart glasses already have similar things built for them. No reason medical apps and devices cannot use a similar integration.

  • How so?

  • If you compare the results with google Pixel 10 pro XL. The 8 Elite gen 5 is nearly twice as fast in both CPU and GPU workloads.

Tensor G5 is very far behind in Socs.

  • Graphene may have specific requirements due to their security requirements

  • You need hardware support 1st before software can take advantage of it. Games may take a few years but it should happen. And when it does this chip will be ready.

  • I have not dived deep in display tech. But, from what I remember reading years ago. Display is controlled by a seperate display power controller. Unless, they were to integrate one with this chip it should not. Maybe, they do. Hopefully, someone does a deep dive later.

  • Wow, I just discovered you can do the same with the bullet list button if you select all text. Neat.

  • Other notable features include “Android-first” support for one-nit display brightness, UFS 4.1 four-lane support, 35% longer Bluetooth audio range, and AI enhancements to reduce 5G and Wi-Fi power consumption. The modem also supports 7.4Gbps downlink speeds, and apparently delivers 15% more bandwidth due to 5CC carrier aggregation.

1-nit display brightness is interesting but not sure how a soc has anything to do with it. Plus, UFS 4.1 support.

  • Not sure how this article was missed.

I just found about the new ARM C1 cores, the lumex platform and the G1 gpu cores.

Another article from faceofit reports more on the Lumex platform and how it can help develop new Socs faster with ready made designs.

    https://www.faceofit.com/arm-c1-ultra-vs-premium-vs-pro-vs-nano-vs-cortex-x925/

The CSS Advantage: Why Lumex Matters

Arm's shift to delivering a Compute Subsystem (CSS) like Lumex is a direct response to market demands for faster development cycles and guaranteed performance. Instead of providing individual IP blocks (CPU, GPU, Interconnect), Arm now offers a pre-integrated, pre-validated, and physically-aware platform.

Not sure what physically-aware is but okay. Hopefully, this can mean slightly less recycled CPU designs(cough snapdragon 695, 8s gen 3, dimensity 7400, 8350, 9400e)

  • Yeah, if devs stop developing apps for android. It won't matter if you use android without play services.

  • That's a wrong misconception. Mediatek produces Socs at all performance level. Their dimensity 9000 series chips can rival and even surpass snapdragon 8 series chipset especially in GPU performance.

The dimensity 8400-max has superb power efficiency compared to most chipsets.

  • You can find recommendations based on your friends watch history. Also, introducing a new feature of community playback. Watch interesting videos with your friends.

  • Saved posts? It's not even loading communities here.

  • All that talk of Knox security and Bootloader locking just to install a system level spyware.

  • It's alright. Personally, I use LocalSend. It's a neat app which is 16mb download vs 57mb for plainapp.

  • The links you shared are broken for fdroid and source code.

  • Yeah, alongside that. Phones also have focus mode, digital wellbeing to limit usage of distracting apps. You can even turn on super power saving mode to limit phone use further and use it for basic functions like phones, messages, web browsing, etc.
