  • If I would have to compare a printer manufacturer to VanMoof, it would be BambuLab, not Prusa.

  • That meat, dairy, and eggs are essential for a healthy diet.

  • A purely fossil fuelled electric car (as in, fossil grid) is already more efficient than an ICE.

  • Blub blub blub gargle gargle blub.

    • Dutch person, now metres below sea level
  • As others have said, home assistant and the like can achieve this. However, if you prefer not to use any other hardware than what you already have, the Hue app has the “Hue Labs” thingy, where they have sunrise and sunset automations that have the lights do what you describe. Might be worth looking at.

  • Ah, that makes sense. I’m only used to induction and the regular old gas stoves.

  • I guess I disagree on that one. If you’re talking induction, that is. For me, it’s a magical slab of glass that heats my food and is ridiculously easy to clean thanks for the touch buttons. Wipe wipe and it’s clean.

  • Thanks for fixing the pun in the title for me haha.

  • Problem with that is that you can very easily strip off the + and any bit after it to get your “normal” email address. Then again, when they find out mine is a catch-all, they can spam me as well… I guess you never win.

  • Same. Nowadays I just use a catch-all email address. Companyname@domain.tld. Allows me to name, shame, and block the company that leaks my email address.

  • Well, there was the DIN standard for radios back in the day….

  • Parts of plans that were specifically grown for livestock that we won’t eat, that is. At least a big part.

  • Dutch also has the issue with the compound words. Autocorrect will often put a space in there, which is grammatically incorrect (and ugly). I feel like it’s at a point now where the incorrect space usage has become mainstream and might change the language rules. Oh well.

  • +1, well worth the 10 bucks.

  • If it’s a backend/service issue, tell the user, but the bare minimum. You shouldn’t disclose too much info about your system to the end user (think of stack traces, error codes unique to some dependency you’re using) as it may give an attacker some valuable information.

  • People shocked about the horrors of of animal cruelty in the bio industry. More at 11. Tomorrow on our menu, probably steak or bacon. 😐

  • JVM warm-ups are a no-no, too.

  • Never gets old how most people never care about nutrition until someone vegetarian/vegan shows up. Then they’re protein and/or B12 deficient, and they’ll die for sure!

  • Love to see it happen
