  • Sounds concerning but it could also be benign:

    Add or modify calendar events

Likely used to show events you've been invited to (automatically like how outlook does it), and or update an event that has changed (cancelled, location update, etc)

    Send email to guests [...]

Send email when adding contacts to and event.

That being said I don't believe the intent is malicious but I also haven't audited the code.

  • I believe so, I calculated the area of the NHL rinks using lots of popsicle sticks, a flashlight (cause the lights were off), and a broom. In hindsight maybe I should have included a calculator but I ain't no nerd! /s

Either way, that's a lot of land to cover.

  • lol 30 hectares of woodland... thats about 300,000 m², or 42 NHL sized ice rinks

  • An SMS blaster is a device that mimics a legitimate cellular tower. When activated, it causes nearby mobile phones to connect to it instead of a real network. Once connected, the device sends fraudulent text messages that appear to come from trusted organizations, such as banks or service providers. These messages often contain links directing users to fake websites designed to steal personal, financial, or login information — a tactic commonly known as “smishing.”

They call the SMS blaster a Stingray when the police use it, although they dont use it to send fraudulent texts.

  • What a trash company (Atlassian)

  • How likely are vpn (mullvad) configs to change over time? Will I end up having to constantly update them, which is something I assume the native app will do.

Secondly, do the wire guard tools include things like a killswitch on disconnect so I don't accidentally send traffic if I get disconnected (eg when the VPN node I'm connected to goes down for maintenance)

  • We're in big big trouble.

  • You can tell me what it is and I'll remember it for you /s

  • IANAD but try to limit yourself to only being allowed to spill a certain drink and only on a certain surface. I've known people who had great success with boiling hot coffee and their crotch.

  • This... Hear me out, we take all the AI companies, we give them each 1 PC. Their AI gets to have full control over the PC and that PC is on a lan with all the other companies' AI PCs. And then we have an AI deathmatch and the winner is crowned Skynet.

  • I liked this show right up to the 4th wall break.

  • Haha that's awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • What kind of name is Galax?

Anyways, that's a nice caboose you got there!

  • In Quebec, maple syrup offenses are the only way someone can get the death penalty. /s

  • large pieces of material blew out of Orion’s heat shield during re-entry, leaving divots.

I'm not convinced that this isn't by design. The shield should take any and all damage so the shuttle doesn't have to. Its likely also completely unsafe to reuse a heat shield after its be used for reentry.

  • this is 100% down to Trump wanting either a distraction or to be able to say “well I put someone on the moon”

Ah yes, the 9 year old long-con distraction play.

  • I havent been on sportsnet for a good while, but when I used it, there would usually be no ads. They would put up a screen saying something like "Commercial Break". I think i may have seen an ad or two but that's probably bad input from SN+.

That being said, I stopped using SN for the same reason as op: constant buffering. Its like these guys have never done a streaming service before.

  • Why didn't Anna's Archive just tell the courts it was using the music to train AI? They'd have gotten off scott free /s

  • for feds to use at any arbitrary reason.

For the safety of the children you mean /s
