  • In addressing the Choi family's wrongful death lawsuit, a city lawyer told a judge in January 2025 the police have no obligation to go and arrest someone like Rickman if he is not at the scene.

    At that hearing, the judge asked the city's lawyer: "A police officer could still sit back and do nothing in response to a complaint by a domestic violence victim because there's no duty to look for the abuser?" The city's lawyer answered, "That's correct …"

    John Justice, the attorney representing the city and the Lakewood Police Department, said he could not comment on pending litigation.

    This story is so upsetting. There were multiple complaints detailing his escalating behavior. They failed this poor woman and the attitude above says it all…

  • What's a movie you had to watch in pieces because it disturbed you, but you learned to love it?

  • Hmm so disturbing I watched it in pieces, AND I learned to love it? Tough requirements! I’m thinking it’s gotta be the sort of stuff that gets banned. But no, I’ve never experienced any movie like that. So disturbing I had to rewatch several times yes. But I didn’t love it, no. Enjoying it would also be a stretch lol. Just watching for the novelty really.

  • No one knows the cute little lady at work listens to extreme metal on her headphones lol. I pause my black metal and say the sweetest things to my patients.

    I also know a lot of anime. Not the new stuff, but the tried and true stuff. I don’t watch it anymore, but yeah. No one would know because I don’t talk about it.

    Oh and I know old school UFC too, because I’ve got Fight Pass and have been watching it (and Pride) chronologically lol.

    My ethnicity mix also seems to trip people up. I get some interesting guesses!

  • How high can you go in heels before they become unwearable?

  • 2” heels. I used to wear higher when I was younger, but never was comfortable in them. Idk how some women do it!

  • The combination of egg (think eggnog), sweetness, and the bitterness of coffee works! It’s decadent though. I’d only get it once in a while lol. Also I’ve tried it both hot and cold -I personally think hot works better.
