Mines are actually a great example, killing indiscriminately long after the war is over. Now we're getting flying mines and we can all regret it when it's too late.
There are limits to that kind of escalation. Like nukes. Or that in WWII both Germans and British could've dumped poison gas on a city, but then of course the enemy would do the same. There's nothing technologically impressive about autonomous drones, anyone could make them, so to make them first is saying 'we accept a world where this is normal', and that crosses a big line. If it's ok for Ukraine to use them, then it's ok for Russia and Israel. Then it's only a matter of time before every military and police force use them. I think everyone can imagine how bad that would be on their own.
Maybe we can forgive desperate people for being desperate, but it's not an issue of morals, but common sense. Escalating to the use of autonomous weapons invites and demands that Russia and other nations do the same. The moral question will be if those responsible can live with themselves knowing they freely chose to bring this horror into the world.
So many people seem to have sorely missed the point. A bigger stick is useless when your neighbour can and will use a bigger stick in response. You want autonomous drones? I really do sympathise with your situation, but that would legitimise Russia in using autonomous drones against you!
Oblivion Remastered - basically Skyrim, start here IMO.
Kingdom Come Deliverance, 1 and 2 - exacly the same as Skyrim except super realistic and historically accurate.
Dragon's Dogma, 1 and 2 - faster paced dynamic combat with a big, vibrant world to explore, but without the finer details.
Dragon Age, Origins, 2 and 3 - More strategic combat and dialogue, less world detail.
Mount and Blade, Warband and Bannerlord - ok not that much like Skyrim but similar appeal. You go into battles with dozens of soldiers, command and fight alongside them, plenty of RPG elements and questing but is mainly a sandbox for you to figure out your own goals on your own.
In my experience albums I listen to today are way better all the way through than when people were buying them in store. Maybe that's just the artists I follow though. Good artists stay true to their music regardless of the payment model.
If you're listening to artists that are in it to maximise their earnings, maybe you could broaden what you listen to.
For those who can't be bothered looking up the difference between a double-slipped granny knot and a double-slipped reef knot, tie the first and second knots with different ends of the string on top (eg. right over left, then left over right). If you do it right it will hold, no need for a double knot.
As for earphones (does anyone even use those anymore?) push them into a small pouch, start from one end and work your way along, pull them out the same way (it's quicker than it sounds).
Except for the time we tried poking with pointy sticks and swing sharp sticks. It worked for a while, but then we got even better at throwing sharp sticks further and hit all the stick pokers before they could get close.
You sure court isn't different?
