I also think it's infantile behaviour, crowd/group mind psychology where they collectively act worse than the individual; IMHO the bully/cat caller gets pleasure in reaffirming their role within the group and will continue to do so unless somebody from the group itself strongly challenges them (complains, warns them, etc) or something else goes badly for them from bystanders intervening.
They pretty much don't care about the response from the victim unless it's "entertaining" and reenforces their clown act
Not a psych worker, just my 2c
BTW it reminds me of the phenomenon where a crowd freezes instead of helping an injured person, since there's too many people and little "per capita" pressure to help a stranger in need
Hard to say for me, you definitely have Google Apps so in theory only the Pixels have nothing "extra". If you plan on using stock at first, personally I'd unlock the bootloader anyway (since it wipes storage and because as I wrote the other day it's not guaranteed that they'll let us years from now), but some apps might make a fuss? Depends on your personal banking apps etc.
The newest officialy supported are the Pixel Tablet and the Oneplus Pads, as of today require very similar "standard" steps to unlock the bootloader (fastboot commands from a pc). This might change months from now (even for older devices after an OEM firmware update) because both companies are worsening their stance towards customer freedom so always check wiki.lineageos.org/devices first
Pick depending on size preference but consider that the Oneplus Pads are a lot faster (and have high refresh screens, official stylus support) compared to the Pixel Tablet.
The older Samsungs are a bit trickier at first, specifically require ODIN or Heimdall, but once you have a running Lineage Recovery they work just as well and become standard unlocked devices, LOS updates and upgrades then work the same. The most recent one is the Tab S7.
I never relock the bootloader on purpose so I don't know which ones allow that with LOS installed.
Howdy pardner, for comicbooks I use Kahon which is basically Mihon but in F-droid repo. I like Voice for audiobooks, works a charm with .m4b files with chapters and pretty covers;
Privacy Browser I don't see mentioned often, it's a fantastically efficient android-webview-based browser, with built in Easylist blockers, and defaults to javascript off (and a single button to turn JS on): great for skimming a news article or opening a random link
Gypsy originally (at least in the 16th century) meant Egyptian, "from the supposed origin of the people" (which was a wrong supposition ofc)
https://www.etymonline.com/word/Gypsy
..but in Middle French they were Bohémien (see bohemian), and in Spanish also Flamenco "from Flanders." "The gipsies seem doomed to be associated with countries with which they have nothing to do"
Most words arriving from an outside group (exonyms) were often "wrong" as in they were born out a limited POV or a misconception, I still can't find it in me to label them as objectively offensive especially when they are still pervasive in the modern language for referring to a people. I like this quote from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_Germany
Often language lags behind the changing society and names tend to retain references to first encounters: the Finnish first and foremost met the Saxons while the French faced the Alamanni
It's from KDE so usually Linux
Edit: ..realising there's also Dolphin Emulator and now I'm also confused lol but still feel they're talking about KDE file manager vs Win Explorer
