  • I use social media a lot less which I like. I like that it’s a smaller area that seems to grow organically. I like that there are different ways to engage and it’s interoperable.

    The concept is still confusing at times but I think it’s better for me than non-federated options.

  • I know the struggles with windows. Guess I am not to familiar with the MAC gripes other than the usual planed obsolescence, walled garden stuff. They aren’t jamming AI into it yet right? That got delayed I think?

  • Or they just don’t have the bandwidth. Lots of people talk about “spousal approval” when it comes to self hosting and stuff. If you’re strapped for time, resources and have lack of understanding, it can be a hard thing to tackle.

    I’ve had some cables with the same ends being identical. Like two male usb-a cables. Before the “great purge” I had a box set aside with some “idk what the hell these are” type of cables. Wish I still had them. Some were hand me downs from my father from his box of “idk what the hell these are” and were from the early days of computing.
