I'm sorry. I don't think anyone commenting has any idea what you're talking about, which is a feeling you're probably familiar with by now. I understand what you're going through. I'm relearning life too and it's an incredibly painful process sometimes because I'm already very self aware and I now have an entirely different perspective to view my life from.
Maybe we can try to think of it like a puzzle that we've spent our whole life struggling to put together. Someone just handed us the picture of the box. It's not the picture we were expecting. There's some relief being able to make sense of the pieces but now we have to accept that the pieces we were trying to force together are never going to fit together. We'll never be able to make the picture we wanted. That's hard. And the picture doesn't change the fact that the pieces still have to be put together. It doesn't change the fact that we still struggle. All we know is why we struggle and that we will always struggle to some extent.
I do believe in time we will find peace and happiness. I know some autistic older adults and they live beautiful eccentric lives. But they had to find their way just as us.
As soon as I realized he was pro Isreal I lost all pity for him. If he doesn't care about gaza being invaded by Israel, I don't care about the Ukraine being invaded by Russia.
Yeah came here to say this. No one in my circles talks about the death of our troops it's a tragedy. Just another statistic we throw around when talking about how incompetent our government is.
I'm also someone who can't float so swimming is exhausting for me. If I ever have to swim to save my life I'm pretty confident I would die. I stay away from water.
Someone holding off a hord of children determined to violate all sense of privacy. You must have had a wonderful school restroom experience. Some of us are scarred for life.
Maybe not though. If the biggest companies in the US are discovering AI is more expensive than paying US based employees, AI is certainly more expensive than paying employees in most other parts of the world too.
Okay well believing China does things better than the west doesn't make you a tankie. I also believe there are many things China does better than the west but I guess that's all subjective.
There is no "Iran is next." Pretty sure Isreal and the US just tried to beat Iran into submission and failed. Iran's time came and they survived.
Iran could easily turn it's back on Lebanon and survive, just as the rest of the world has. But unlike the rest of the world it's actually using the leverage it has to stop a massive genocide.
No one is saying Iran is a wonderful country with leaders that belive in peace and equality for their people but the blood on the US and Isreal hands flows further than Irans.
I recently bought Colombia sneakers earlier this year because they seemed more ethical than the others. Was a little worried about their durability because they're pretty lightweight but so far they've held up well.
Agreed but the issue here is what are the monopolistic things things valve is doing. What's the shitty behavior we're trying to hold them accountable for?
Because if we break up a company for good behavior then we're setting a precedent that other companies with good practices will be broken up too.
