Generally confused and chronically tired disaster NB living on the internet. From northern Germany. 31y / Aro-Pan

  • It's a pretty deep rabbit hole :DThe mechanicalkeyboards subreddit and the mechkeys discord server are great places to get info on the topic. And there's also a community on Lemmy now at mechanicalkeyboards@lemmy.ml

I started with normal mechanical keyboards a few years ago because I wanted something better than the average gamer-rgb stuff. Then slowly changed to different form factors and layouts, started designing my own boards and ultimately ended up with this.

It's based on the Sofle v2 split-board which I modified a bit and put in a custom 3D printed case that I designed myself :3The layout takes some getting used to in the begging but after a while it just feels a lot more natural and is much more comfortable when doing lots of typing than normal staggered keyboard layouts.I've been using it for about two years now and I'm definitely not going back.

  • thankies :3

  • All my other systems already run Arch Linux and NixOS :3I unfortunately just need Windows on this machine for some work stuff...

    Also thaaaaankies! 😇

  • unixsocks on fediverse @lemmy.blahaj.zone

Can you even program without these?
