  • How long ago was this and in which country? I recently gave birth in my 30s and I was told it’s the norm these days (in fact average age of first time mom in my area is 32 last year). Even in my late 30s, I have a lower complication and mortality rate than teen pregnancies. The best age from what I was told is early to mid 20s, biologically. But for most people emotionally and financially late 20s is actually better.

  • My last game I decided to focus on friendship and get 10 hearts with everyone. That meant short farming days and not optimising anything. My husband was shocked that at the end of year 1 I still had so little money and my farm was just a few 3x3 squares. Barely any animals too.

  • American consumerism shoved its way in, so now everything is prepackaged garbage made as cheaply as possible from the same conglomerates that make unhealthy trash that's often banned by other countries due to health risks.

    I’ve watched YouTube videos of school cafeterias in different countries preparing food. Japanese schools get fresh produce every morning, some proudly mention they’re fresh from local farmers, and they have to clean (very thoroughly too), prepare, and cook the food every day. But the US schools get frozen/fridged packaged stuff delivered and they cook by putting stuff on trays and heating them up.

  • And the food budged for each inmate is higher compared to for each school student. There are stricter regulations for prison food too so they’re more nutritious and of higher quality.

  • Matt and Karen are back, which is somewhat unexpected. I thought the slow dance in the trailer was a flashback but maybe not…

    Jess referenced straight from the start. Hope we get a good amount of Jess and Matt cos I love their dynamic. Bullseye reveal at the end was great too.

    A bit slow on the story but I guess we can’t expect too much from a first episode. We’re just establishing the main characters and where we are right now.

  • Same as you! Easy/normal Randy Random is my go to. I just build a colony and sometimes try out different winning conditions. More often than not I don’t even go for winning, just build up until the colony is too rich for it to be fun

    Haven’t started a new game in a while though maybe I should try out other difficulties and see how that goes

  • Yes, only S1 was from the book. S2 and the finale/S3 is new material but Neil Gaiman said it was something he and Pratchett had planned/talked about. S3 was in development when Gaiman's allegations came out so instead of a full season to wrap it up they made it just 1 longer episode, which I think is unfortunate as I've loved the series.

  • Yeah that's one of the issues that keep getting him a lot of hate I think. But from my understanding their relationship was fine. IIRC Janet confirmed that she told him he could apologize for himself but not to say anything on her behalf, so that's what he did. But that was 20+ years ago so I might be misremembering.

  • At least online, this past year or two, maybe not fully cancelled but got a lot of hate. Since his last album/tour a lot of comments are saying that his success has only been by stepping on successful women. Things that get brought up a lot is the Superbowl "wardrobe malfunction" and people seem to think he threw Janet under the bus (which I don't think he did and his and Janet's relationship was fine), and also his relationship with Britney from 25+ years ago. Britney also released a book which probably didn't paint him in a good light.

  • Justin Timberlake. I’m in my mid 30s now so I don’t follow celebrity gossip as much as I did in my tween years but from what I’ve seen he didn’t do anything too bad? The DUI was really stupid but I thought that was mild compared to a lot of celebrities. Felt more like it was cool to hate him cos he’s been famous for a bit but no longer at the top. But I still think he’s a fantastic performer and some of the new songs are great.

  • I have a 3 month old baby girl. Even my own mum keeps saying “she looks like a boy” when I dress her in things that are not girly. It’s a baby. She looks like a baby. And the clothes were pretty much gender neutral in my opinion

  • What was it like the first time you had to call 911?

  • I was in a car accident. On my way back to the office from lunch out and this woman made a left turn from the opposite side in front of me. I basically t-boned her at 50-55mph. We were both okay, just shocked, but our cars were blocking the intersection. She kept saying I was going too fast and that she was driving home from church. I just sat down on the sidewalk waiting for cops and tow truck to show up. Funny enough I remember, even though my car couldn’t go anywhere, I turned off the engine, got out, and still locked the car.

    I had to hitch a ride with the tow truck to their office so I at least had some shelter (middle of summer with no shade around) and wait for a taxi to pick me up. The other woman had her husband pick her up.

  • No idea. But it wasn’t Taylor Swift who I commented on. It was years ago now and I don’t remember who, but it was before the eras tour. I’m not sure when Taylor started using “eras” though

  • The one time I got called a boomer online was because I didn’t understand why artists have “eras” now instead of just albums. I think at the time an artist removed all posts from their socials and the comments are “new era coming soon?” And I asked if that just means they’re dropping a new album
