  • Oat milk truly does wonders (or any other plant milk that you happen to like)

  • Unless Google Streetview is also AI generated, most of the weird parts of this image seem to actually check out

Go to Streetview at 47.616582,-122.3208832 (47°36'59.7"N 122°19'15.2"W) on google maps

(Found this by someone on Reddit claiming they saw it in person outside Seattle Central College, which seems to match the location)

  • the low no parking anywhere sign

    the half filled bike rack

Unless google streetview is also AI generated, those are very much real

  • The study seems to suggest those 2% are more so generic facts rather than particular initiatives or changes

Out of the 1,233 environmental claims, 20 (<2%) did not contain indicators of greenwashing (S1 Data). These claims were generally neutral and verifiable, such as “in the United States alone, 30–40% of food produced is never consumed” [32, p. 36], a statement supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) [33]. Rather than emphasizing specific initiatives, these claims often focused on broader market, industry, or company trends.

EDIT: which is not to say that other generic facts can't be misleading or twisted, just that these specific 2% weren't

  • I can't speak speak the newer solar kits for the US, but batteries are common for balcony / plug in solar. For instance In Germany, I think just under half of installations have batteries

Especially because of the power limit, which encourages who want a little larger capacity to just get a battery with it

EDIT: I think I did see a video of someone doing a battery plug in solar setup, so presumably these exist

  • A blender definitely works, but don't 100% know about a mixer. It might work given silken tofu isn't that difficult to break up, but it might also leave you with some funny chunks. Would be curious to hear if that works

  • Water usage for beef's cattle feed in the US at least is quite often in water scarce areas

Correspondingly, our hydrologic modelling reveals that cattle-feed irrigation is the leading driver of flow depletion in one-third of all western US sub-watersheds; cattle-feed irrigation accounts for an average of 75% of all consumptive use in these 369 sub-watersheds. During drought years (that is, the driest 10% of years), more than one-quarter of all rivers in the western US are depleted by more than 75% during summer months (Fig. 2 and Supplementary Fig. 2) and cattle-feed irrigation is the largest water use in more than half of these heavily depleted rivers
