    why not mention how they've killed hundreds of people in Lebanon - during a supposed ceasefire with Iran - so even if all those people were Hezbollah (spoilers they ain't) it still wouldn't be justified

    at least with the likes of Fox or GBNews you know they're wackos from the start - the fact most British people are swayed to believe anything the bbc says is a crime against critical thought

    I'm not sure you had a chance to look at the stickies zine I linked in the original post but a major benefit is that you can get:

    10 months’ worth of stickies for every month’s worth of tablets

    This is only 5x if you're already using tablets sublingually or buccal but it's definitely an improvement either way

    I've personally not tried it yet but you can read up on reddit and a lot of people swear by it (you can also up your dosage and do mono if you're finding it hard to get ahold of androcur/anti-andros)

    but yeah I've also heard of a diy lab mixing e-powder into gel and injectables in France - but usually people here find LQBTQ+ friendly professional labs that are willing to test those diy mixtures for purity - I'm guessing that's not really an option?

  • 100% agree - still I don't think disaster events will be completely overnight but more so increasingly harsher reductions in quality of life - if we get to fully cataclysmic events then yeah it doesn't matter

    but I feel different things will disappear at different rates - food and other necessities will be prioritised but hormones probably not as much - which is why I'm focusing on community as well - I guess my main point was more so as a community what can we do?

    like does it make sense to think more about how vital medicines like hormones (including insulin) can be brewed in local bioreactors?

    I know https://fourthievesvinegar.org/ is a thing but I'm not well enough versed in biochemistry to do much. has anyone tried anything like this with their network?

    yeah I've actually wondered about this as well and the good news is that QoL seems to be relatively the same between natural and surgically induced menopause (what transfemmes would be most similar to)

    tho physical effects seem to be much more severe:

    Compared with women of the same age who still had their ovaries, women who were under age 46 when their ovaries were removed were 64% more likely to have arthritis, twice as likely to have obstructive sleep apnea, and nearly three times as likely to have had a bone fracture.

    however they do say that if you're on HRT until 50 the risks are greatly reduced

    I would also imagine that using expired hrt tablets might help as well since they just become less potent over time and from what I've read estradiol tablets are pretty shelf stable so if stored well could retain up to 50% potency for decades post exp. date - might be worth getting some just in case to vaccum seal and store in a cool dark drawer

    And yeah sure maybe the regime is fudging the numbers to garner more sympathy but I still feel bombing kids is much worse than lying - and you framing it as "it's a he said she said, so we can't believe anyone" - when there's factual evidence that children were killed by the US-Israel regimes feels like you care more about pedantry than literal child murder

  • idk what anarchists you're around but all the ones I hang out with are vocally pro Iran even if they dont approve of the Ayatollah on principle - but yh I'd take mls over liberals any day of the week - I feel part of it is that anarchists aren't a solid block so while some may block shipments other might fight against what they see as oppression that on a geopolitical scale can result in helping colonial forces - idk we're all imperfect so I hope we can recognize that and through different means still continue to erode imperialism instead of fighting with each other at the benefit of colonizers

    like I see anarchism as a form of counterbalance to state power irrespective of where it is - without needing to be dogmatic

    as in undeniably Uruguay is materially much better now than its ever been (while still being at the peak of it's colonial project even under socialist governance)

    same with Bolivia giving relative power to indigenous peoples while improving living conditions even under a corrupt government

    neither is perfect but vastly better than western powers seizing their resources and wage enslaving their populations - same goes for other socialist Global South countries

    and yet I see the value of anarchist "purity" criticism in that it should continue to challenge all governments when the time is right - even socialist ones - as at the end of the day we all want a stateless society - and until then I dont see why anarchism and socialism can't strive to achieve that through productive structural tension?
