  • I don't. Who said anything about it being evil? I never claimed it was anything other than personal taste. No need to be so snarky.

ETA: Occasionally one slips through my filter. I bought Sanabi because it looked like it has interesting mechanics, but my god does it interrupt the flow with excessive slow-walking/cut scene exposition to much. I don't even mind if they keep it brief, but they went on way to long in that game. I enjoyed it a lot more after I started spamming the skip button.

  • Yeah, I don't really go for the endless grind either. I gravitate more towards platformers and metroidvanias and so on. I'm currently replaying Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

  • Me neither. Nor did I expect it to be that funny.

  • That is also an awesome album. Their a cappella work is amazing.

  • Any game where the main focus is 'story' or being 'cinematic'. I just wanna play a game. If I want a good story, I'll read a book. If I want a cinematic experience, I'll watch a movie. Games trying to be anything other than games reeks of cultural cringe to me. Stop interrupting my fun with your non-interactive bullshit, games!

  • I haven't really been keeping abreast of the situation. I'm only going by a gut reaction to this article. I'm happy to be proven wrong about this.

  • They like 'em 'submissive'. :puke:

  • I am sure they will be forked quickly

    ooh-err Missus!

  • We can't even eat cake!

  • I may just be being overly cynical, but once big corporations start giving money to these kinds of things, it's not a big stretch for them to start influencing things in their favour for their money. I hope I'm wrong.

  • I've loved them dearly ever since I discovered their discography was so much more than Tubthumping.

  • I'm ok with McDonald's actively making their shops (I refuse to call them restaurants) less appealing. It's not like eating their shitty, and now overpriced food is ever a good idea anyway.

  • And yet somehow appropriate,

  • And yet, apparently, no-one is strong enough to stop them...

  • Get yer laser pens ready, gang!

  • hopefully soon it’ll be a thunderous wet fart.

  • Not a conflict of interest at all. I work in the public service, and I can't even accept a cake as a gift.

  • Bear in mind that the 'newsrooms' that are behind this push are Newscorp, Fairfax and all the other corporate print media propagandists that are dying a slow and thoroughly deserved death. There are no good guys in this argument, let alone 'journalists'.
