  • Sounds like (how) democratic republics (should correctly work).

  • That's bad for the battery's long-term capacity/longevity.

Charge slow (disable fast-charging) and stay within 40-75% at all times (for lithium-ion, anyway). Avoid both heat and freezing temps. Turn it off every night or at least on a regular basis. It will last for years longer.

  • back off on higher and higher power draw in phones.

Thanks for the reminder to revisit my Droid's developer options and ensure my background processes are restricted to 4 at most.

Anyway, less cycle life is disturbing. Why they don't try LiFePO4, I don't get.

  • Oh, it's no complex ouroboros; what's happening is crystal-clear and simple: just have enough money to redirect your issues onto others!

  • Darn, I was about to ask lol. Well, now I know what else to yet keep another backup of from now on...

  • Hmm... true, fair! ∆

  • But my point is that Meta is committing fraud against the public for advertising WhatsApp as E2EE when it's not, as per this entire post...

  • Dang, your education paid off! I recently disabled fast-charging on my phone (ironically before reading any of this), so am I doing good, dad?

  • I gave several gos at previous levels and got some optimal! No worries, but thanks; I've beaten FTL on Hard, maybe 10% of the time lol. I just hadn't spent enough time on it before commenting. This game is really neat and I love how it crowdsources ideas.

  • Unfortunately, there have been lots of reviews of how ironically manual its regressive design is instead of being progressive in teaching new concepts... So I think I'm gonna pass on this one. It sure looks gorgeous, though!

  • This game is so hard. At least it shows what the optimal arrangement is.

  • Fair, I was unaware of the water issue going on there. It sounds like this crisis isn't resolving any time soon...

  • Is there an ELI5, foolproof, step-by-step tutorial? I tried Kleopatra on my own and was so completely befuddled; why is that, like, literally the only app out there in the whole world for PGP or GPG or whatever? Shouldn't there be dozens of such encoders?

  • For the bad actor to toggle that "switch", they would have to control the app.

Are you talking about physical control? Regardless, it's closed-source... There is nothing that says they can't also generate the keys on the other end that they had your devices generate. Outside of open source code that's buildable from source, they can claim whatever they want about lack of access to switches.

  • Those are actually downsides to me; I want to see the name per window and have full control. Unless I'm constantly using the same specific pair frequently, this would only mess up my workflow more.

not having to adjust the borders manually.

Surely you know about Win+/Super+Arrow, right?

My Android browser has an add-on that is no longer accessible online. Can it be exported?

  • I am so, so, so, so sorry on behalf of humanity in terms of everyone who has treated you like this. You didn't deserve that. I am angry at myself already since I know I would be among them. It is so hard to change the shallowness, but we'll try.

  • Eco advocates should all be for nuclear power, which is one of the cleanest forms around...

  • Or even just turn to the floor if it comes down to it...

  • Don't worry; we Lemmy denizens all hate the outdoors here!
