Your resident human error

  • I call that "Threat of Administration". Works way too often.

  • Not an alternative for butter in every dish, but for potatoes a vegan Hollandaise would probably work great.

    The Boys' first two EPs on one vinyl. I enjoy their later stuff too, especially lyrics wise, but early VBs just hits different in terms of rawness. Their three EPs and the first album just have that dirty, bassy sound I love. Feels like I could demolish the whole apartment block, if I just turn it loud enough.

  • Never

    Edit: To clarify, I am not affected by the ban that comes into effect in California. But I will, in general, never verify my identity to use an OS or social media.

  • I checked and it is great news. On Lemmy, it shows up like a spam post. I just wanted to help you spread the news. But if you insist on keeping your clickbait post title with emojis, go ahead.

  • I don't know how posting from Mastodon to Lemmy works, but clickbait titles with emojis is not how users post content here.

    Edit: I recommend you rephrase the title of your post to indicate what this is about.

  • Please use proper post titles.

  • If you are on Windows, take a look at Robocopy.

    /z Copies files in restartable mode. In restartable mode, should a file copy be interrupted, robocopy can pick up where it left off rather than recopying the entire file.

    /r:

    <n>

    Specifies the number of retries on failed copies. The default value of n is 1,000,000 (one million retries).

    /w:

    <n>

    Specifies the wait time between retries, in seconds. The default value of n is 30 (wait time 30 seconds).

  • Those cutscenes were so sick! Say what you want about EA, but I loved that they used to just film live action stuff. Command & Conquer, Need for Speed 1, Road Rash. They added so much.

  • The album on Youtube

    This one was a bucket list item for me. Way back in '95 or '96 I was very much into the video game Road Rash for the Playstation. The game itself was great, but what really made it stand out was the soundtrack. It introduced me to many bands I still love today: Soundgarden, Swerverdriver, Paw, Hammerbox and heavily influenced my taste in music. Of course I had to get their albums on vinyl when I started collecting. Now the only one I am still missing is Dragline by Paw. A cool 200€ on discogs for that one, so it will have to wait.

    Now, about this album. The second and final one by Hammerbox, a female fronted Grunge band from Seattle. It was released in 1993 before they disbanded in 1994. The singer, Carrie Akre, went on to form Goodness. This LP arrived today in opened shrink, looks like no one touched it over the last 33 years.

  • There are some good people in the camp, sure, but Dutch is not one of them. Neither is Arthur, no matter how you play him. Dutch is a charismatic devil with a silver tongue who makes people believe he is the good guy. Seems like he got you too.

    Edit: This whole exchange comes across a lot harsher than it was meant. I understand you, Dutch is a very well written character who is fun to be around. I just found it a bit strange how you romanticized this gang of truly awful persons. But I get it, the camp feels like family. I've been there, I would have slaughtered a whole town to protect Tilly.

  • Dutch has no respect, for no one. He is a violent criminal who groomed children into becoming his personal killers.

    Have you finished the game?

  • "Everything is so simple, there’s so much respect between people, they live camping with a simple life, everybody trying to help to survive as they can, singing at the end of nights, having profound and philosophical talking. It’s such a more human focused life."

    Have we played the same game? They are murderers, drunkards and thieves who constantly backstab each other.

  • Fantastic album, no other way to describe it. My mom bought it on CD, way back when Killing Me Softly was playing everywhere. She didn't like the rest of the songs, but I did. It was my introduction to Hip-Hop.

  • I had a critical amount of exposure to it in the 90s. My body is refusing to accept that anyone likes this song, despite it having 277 million views on Youtube.

  • Maybe the game freezes now and then?
