  • When you work shifts (7/7 24h) weekends are whenever you are off duty and Friday can be on Tuesday.

    I’m normally more of a Star Trek and space opera fan, but there is something about this show that makes me happy.

  • I think the prices are more or less the same today.

    But we don’t go to Starbucks or fast food often, the coffee culture is the same as France and Italy so not Starbucks. And fast food is often the hangover food so not something you do every week.

    Since Covid and inflation worldwide, some prices are actually cheaper in Switzerland. With a Swiss income it is a very perfect country to live in (not with a basic low 4000 chf/month tho, at least not in cities)

  • From the git above, it downloads an official MS iso and debloat it to create a lighter one. It’s the same as installing a normal iso and then removing stuff like one note etc, except that those are not installed by default so no need to remove them.

    Specialized software from laptop brands (asus or whatever) are useless shits. You only need the drivers and an OS.

  • Après des heures de solo j'ai passé le cap et suis parti sur un serveur Arma Reforger avec des inconnus.

    Un serveur Francophone, car flemme de parler en anglois... (Les combatants de la liberté - PVE)

    Les gars sont cools, français et ils ont l'air d'être potes IRL.

    Ils ont un serveur "Freedom Fighter", un mod sur lequel on essaie de monter la résistance et de virer l'armée d'occupation (les cainri dans cette partie).

    Ici c'est moi, déguisé en civil, devant mon fidèle camion qui me permet de cacher mes armes, partir faire de la logistique, de la reco ou juste poser de la propagande dans les villes.

    Mon camion est ma maison, la radio est toujours allumée pour diffuser des chants à la gloire de la liberté (du rock)

    L'état actuel de notre île, la partie à commencé il y a moins de 2 jours (en bleu les US, en vert nous)

  • I work in ATC and we have several desks with around 12 to 18 screens. Not in that layout tho, but on a much larger banana form.

    They are used at different support positions so not ATC radars. Mostly for monitoring but also used with keyboard and mouse.

    The applications goes from technical surveillance of ops systems, to flow capacity (airspace capacity), meteo broadcast for all airports (ATIS) or ground-ground telecommunications of aeronautical data.

  • Eh, once my wife had a Sunday 4pm fondue craving (the Swiss melted cheese yeah) so we went to the local "auberge valaisanne"

    It was packed with old farts from retirement homes going on an organized Sunday trip to the restaurant.

    Also none of them ate cheese (fondue or raclette), they all went for a non Swiss meal, at a Swiss auberge…

    I tried Dennys once when I was visiting the US, I don’t remember it so it probably wasn’t anything special.

    Or I think it’s the admiral talking while negotiating at federation HQ in the last DIS season, so after the time travel and burn sometime around the 32nd century.
