  • Ehh. 7.1 isnt that old. If they don't make any newer available until 28.04, then this'll just be a major baseline. It'll nice regardless just if it leads to more rocm support. The package and maintainers are in place for this to keep going every 6 months

  • I tried the demo during steam next fest. It took a bit getting used to the controls but after a little it made sense and I liked it. It's an interesting action game that I'd like to see more of. There's a ton of good souls like. Would like to see a wave of good character action games

  • I remind people that RFK Jr was planned to be a part of the Obama administration but wasn't believed possible to make it through confirmation hearings with the negative being - he's too leftist. RFK Jr was for a long time a major influencer in hippie medicine. He's pretty much a quintessential example of young 60/70s, often privileged upbringing, hippies that would go on to be today's anti-science (intellectual authority) leaders.

I know plenty of people with degrees that are leftist in most American issues but are the opposite when it comes to health/medicine/nutrition. Plenty of the top of my high schools grade class rankings went to university and were culturally art focused. They would be called hipsters. They have degrees. And quite a number are deep into homeopathy/alt-health. At least a couple have gone down the osteopathy career path and they're not the worse but they do veil the homeopathic uncertainty with their actual scientific jargon knowledge to make it sound more certain

  • What I've seen in people I know is that it centers around a need for certainty. They're scared of something they can't control or are too tired to or lack belief in themselves to control. Scared of having autistic children, there must be an identifiable cause that can be avoided to blame. There's a growing vocal crowd saying vaccines so latch onto that. Friends I've seen with just about zero dietary self-control, they get into dietary fads. Like alkaline water and way more expensive seasonings than the common price - marketed as healthier. They generally make no weight goals or whatever but the expensive placebo brings them some mental comfort

I just remembered the ones that seem like they really want to come off as smart and seem certain that the way to that is to be very visibly against conventional wisdom regardless of their lack of proof and lack of ability to prove their beliefs. They're the leaders and the ones coping the followers

  • When I started watching Gundam from the beginning, I didn't know the reputation. I started with G Gundam, which I love. By midway of Zeta Gundam, I was sold on universal century being the best and the OG creator being top tier interesting for being so committed and focused. Those first 2 seasons felt so thematically consistent

  • Touch pads and back buttons. I don't have any gamepads with this many buttons. Once I get one I'll try less gamepad friendly games with community layouts

  • It's a better value than the console makers pro controllers. Looking to use the touchpads on an HTPC

  • Proton Drive has improved. Linux app is welcome. I want some serious improvements to shared photo albums. Preloading of some amount of previous/next images in the order being viewed. I really want to completely drop google photos

  • Gabe the game a short go and I like how it plays

  • It'll continue being relevant for EGS, GOG, and Amazon games. I'm betting Valve is working on an Android app that makes the experience way smoother out of the box. Keep in mind that there's plenty of games that aren't looking like Ghost of Tsushima. There's been a bunch of CRPG releases in the last decade. ARPG games too that aren't hard to run. Victor Vran. Grim Dawn has an upcoming update

But there's still enough hard to run games that games run through an x86 emulator will not be a real.replacement for the hard to run games. Going to at least need the day to come when devs commonly ship ARM binaries too

  • Hoping this becomes more common. Gamepad friendly UI designs. Start a new home theater PC golden age

  • News cycles and trends are so fast. I forgot Pokopia was last month and it was major hit

  • On your balcony, a bucket of water that you throw kitchen scraps in and make liquid compost

Looks like people do it with weeds as well

    https://youtu.be/4Wo8XfCIvu8

Another thing is bokashi that involves fermenting kitchen scraps and you can make liquid fertilizer from that too

  • Do it Valve. I want a Steam machine and one more controller for my living room. I already have a couple 8bitdo controllers. With that I'll never need another console again for some fun local multiplayer

  • Good photo. Was wondering how much space it would take. While the 9060xt is significantly better than the 7600m and FSR4, that Steam Machine is beautifully compact. No rush. Still hard to decide this or that. Also the SM coming with the Steam controller is a major plus even though 8bitdo gamepads are great

  • Reminds me that it's been a while since Ive gotten a bag of pumpkin seeds. They're delicious

  • All the years of claiming free EGS games has finally started to pay off

  • TDP is too much for me. I'm waiting for the last AM5 generation and picking up the 16 core x3d for that. Don't want to need that major of a cooling solution. Hoping for some goodness with TSMC 2nm
