  • Not all shoes are so limited, you can buy shoes that have plenty of lifespan such as Brooks running shoes. I’ve put hundreds of miles on mine and they’re still in good shape. That being said with planned obsolescence and cheap manufacturing for fast turnover being prioritized, we end up with less reliable shoes.

  • They don’t care if those who can’t afford would be without. They want to squeeze every dime out of every student they can, it’s their business model.

  • I remember missing a certification test for a legitimate reason, calling to reschedule, spending hours on the phone with Pearson and being told there’s nothing to be done. They couldn’t refund, reschedule or be bothered with me even after I paid $150 for an exam and called soon after. Somehow the pinnacles of knowledge are corporations that care less about your knowledge and are much more concerned with emptying your wallets like a bully after lunch money.

  • It asks questions for both self-hosted on your own hardware as well as hosted in the cloud, I’m a little confused why everyone thinks all the questions must be applicable. It’s a survey about self-hosting. I happened to have cloud and local hosting answers, and it seemed like if I only used cloud there were suitable answers for that. Maybe I missed something?

  • Thank you, I agree. I have enough brain cells to type this comment and believe that I’m self-aware.

  • The stickers have been prone to theft, so they don’t like to replace them very often. They’re saving some time and money so you don’t have to.

  • That $1 starter pack is the real deal! I’m rolling with Tux on my laptop and I’m looking for places to slap my other stickers

  • How often do you think organized protest goes uninterrupted by force in mainland China?

  • I feel like the latter conclusion isn’t entirely true. If this is other countries’ exposure to political discourse, you should be concerned about the generations to follow, if we even make it that long as a species.

  • Red Hat and Rocky Linux both sponsoring this is a mildly humorous juxtaposition

  • Oh you certainly can, does that mean you should?
