  • I am not trying to be clever, I am not trying to be right, and I'm not here to insult random strangers I don't agree with. I'm just curious about other people's opinions. Sometimes this helps me understand stuff and change my point of view.

  • Please explain how someone selling Palestinian land used for Israeli settlements has any responsibility in decisions made by the Israeli state.

  • Yes, surely infighting among leftists will allow them to take the power back! /s

  • If you're trying to educate me, you're doing it wrong.

  • I suppose it depends on the buyer, but settlements mostly.

  • James should read all the words. You can't say someone selling Palestinian land in NYC is responsible for the actions of the state of Israel, although I would agree they're profiting from the consequences.

  • Unfortunately it's not only AI bros who want that. A lot of people nowadays feel attacked and become aggressive the second they hear an opinion that doesn't fit in their world view.

Society feels like there's a religious war going on but without religion.

    But then again, I'm old.

  • I'm stealing this, thank you very much :)

  • What are they, specifically, in this case?

  • Schrodinger's boomer

  • A US right wing think thank wrote a paper saying it might be a good idea to give money to separatists with the goal of destabilizing Canada. That's it.

This is far from actual election interference.

  • The US empire is racing towards its fall, and I can't help thinking that it's intentional.

  • So the suspects are black, and your argument is "acab"?

    Care to elaborate?

  • Feeling unsafe != Living in danger. Is NYC a dangerous place to live for Jewish people? I'd be surprised if it's the case. I'm getting tired of politicians equating feelings with facts.

  • He might be a prick for a whole lot of reasons, but he's right about Palestine.

  • If I access systems I am not authorized to, I could be sued. Why aren't the owners of these outside systems suing them, or anthropic, or openai?

  • This might be brushed off by Republicans as a move by a sour loser since he lost his primaries to a Trump fanboy, but it means the GOP candidates will have to take sides on an unpopular war right before the midterms.

  • They must realize by now that they have no business model viable enough to repay the money they burned for the last two years, and if they are given an excuse to stop, they can tell their investors they are not responsible for the absence of any ROI.

  • In any given country there are always groups that are, to varying degrees, persecuted, ostracised or who don't benefit from the general increase in the quality of life. That does not mean the country isn't doing well.
