  • Yeah, Odysee and Kick both pride themselves in their looser moderation, which resulted in both platforms being used for extreme right wing propaganda. Maybe the closed bubbled propaganda is a bit more ethical than the more quantifiable damage Google and Amazon are doing in a worldwide scale, but it still feels shitty to support.

  • I'll be sure to attend their needs. Sadly, we don't have a friend close by yet, as we left our state to live together. There's a couple of uni classmates that we vibe with, not sure if they are ready to call them friends, but I can ask. They HATE recieving external help tho, as they feel lile they don't deserve it, but I'll keep it in mind if we're both struggling with getting through the day.

  • Thank you, this is very helpful. We've had this conversation a couple of times. In stressful times, I often jump to offer all the support I can give, and sometimes they feel too overwhelmed because of that. They've told me that trying to normalize/downplay things help them cope with the situation better.

    We are both kinda unstable due to our neurodivergensies, so my worry about a negative spiral is justified, as it has happened before (not as life ending, but a couple of rushed action with long-term consequences). But I will try not to manifest it into existence by letting them grieve at their own pace. Thank you again.

  • Thank you. I always think of the life after the news, but never during. I always try to be strong for my partner, the way they do the same for me too. We both have Bipolar Disorder, so our mood goes up and down at different periods, but after living together for a bit it seems our moods always complement eachother. That's why I expected to be up when they were down, but I gotta start preparing for the time when both of us are down.

  • I'm from south america, so my chances are already slim, but I've been lucky to have watched The Living Tombstone and My Chemical Romace live, which are some of my favorite bands.

    Most of the solo artists I like are very niche, or not big enough for a worldwide tour, so I know it's gona take years for me to be able to see Ren, Rio Romeo, Will Wood or Femtanyl live.

  • I was scared too, but I verified it was actually the verified FireFox account DMing me, and although I didn't check the store very well (I was very excited, very bad mistake I know), it all seemed legit. I remember before I got gifted the coupon, I thought: There's a Mozilla store? So I searched it online and then verified that it was the same link they sent me (still did it though a search engine just in case, and the coupon worked as intended).

    I don't know what else I could've done to verify it, but I'd like to be optimistic, specially since it's such a random event lol (Even if I did end up getting scammed, I only lost like 10 usd lol)

    EDIT: FireFox just liked my last post about the purchase, so unless they were hacked, it's legit!

  • Used Last.fm for like 3 months before finding out about ListenBrainz and making the switch. Truly amazing app, love all of their services (Picard my goat) and I'm happy to hear more people are joining!

    I wish the social aspect was a bit more active though, I always follow people with similar taste but I never get a follow back (and the accounts always have 0 people they follow). Also I never see pinned songs and such :(

  • I'm not a movie person at all, but for some reason Everything Everywhere All At Once, and The Truman Show, both hold a very special place in my heart and I have seen them countless times each.

    That and the Steven Universe movie, but I'm guessing that's not a very good first watch lol
